Many Plastics Are Not Made To Recycle

Wouldn’t it be great if we could reuse the bottles that don’t have the triangle and number recycle codes on the bottom? 

Look in your dispensary at all the perm ,color, and developer bottles.  What an eye-opener to see so many bottles without a recycle code on the bottom!

Is anyone recycling or reusing the plastic containers in which the color and other chemicals are packaged in the hair industry?

I have thought a lot about the waste, the contamination to our earth, as well as wasted money, in respects to this topic but have never discussed it with anyone in the beauty industry or waste/recycle industry.

Going green in the salon is one step toward making our future safe,

The beauty industry has taken the lead in educating the population about so much to better our looks, health, and overall well-being. What about the mess created from the chemical laiden bottles that are filling the landfills?

Could we contribute to the clean up instead of the mess? Maybe we are already contributing to the cleanup. I would love to hear from anyone concerned or already participating in such endeavors.
